About Me

Every decision I make...

Champions experiences that serve real user needs — scrutinizing data to gain a deep understanding of customer behavior and empathy.

I lead teams in crafting experiences that seek to remove friction, delight users, and drive measurable business outcomes.

In my fine art work I have an ego. In my UX work I have none — it's all about improving other people's lives, not my own.

Experience

User Advocate Timeline

UX Designer · March – September 2016

Redesign of complex media asset site by mapping a new end-to-end journey.

  • Optimized home page, browse, search, and product detail elements based on user and stakeholder interviews.
  • Designed an interactive sports content calendar aligned to real-world broadcast events.
  • Presented research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, replacing assumptions with evidence.

UX Designer · October 2016 - December 2018

Acted as at the voice of the customer through interviews with franchise store owners and vendors to understand needs for ordering fruit and dry goods on mobile platforms.

  • I consistently advocated for real user needs with improvements in browse, search, product detail, cart, checkout, and post-purchase support.
  • Added the ability to filter by Category, Supplier, and Occasion significantly lessened search result inaccuracies.
  • Introduced “auto-shipping” saving time on repetitive ordering tasks, re-iterating specific elements and A/B testing.
  • Result: Driving the organization’s business decisions towards user needs became part of the development process, enhancing the experiences and improving the users’ businesses with improved time-on-tasks.
  • Other Achievements:
  • I set UX standards by integrating direct customer feedback into the workflow before development.
  • I defined “What problem are we solving for the customer?” with observational tests of Edible’s POS system. The tests showed that the internal assumption re: a particular pain point was incorrect. In reality, a more complex issue was cause for the friction, and stakeholders paused due tot his new data, saving revenue not spent on solving the non-issue.
  • Became ADA subject matter expert, saving litigation costs.
